Question:
Does any one else feel wobbly in the morning first thing after getting up?

I am six months out and lately I am not very steady on my feet first thing in the morning. I am wondering if it is dehydration as after I have some fluids I am okay and am not bothered the rest of the day with this feeling. Anyone out there experiencing this. I have a check up soon and will ask my Dr. about it. Thanks ahead of time for any suggestions.    — njkbutton (posted on July 19, 2007)

Yep, I've had it too. Surgeon advised to increase my water intake so in the evening I make sure that most of the fluids I drink are water and the clear protein drink by ISOPURE. In the morning when I get some water and drink it while I'm getting ready to leave for work. After I get to work I usually have a Dr. Atkins and then back to water. I don't always get in all the water that is needed but I get in some. I drink it when I'm working out or walking. Try increasing your water intake and a friend of mine suggested taking the vitamins at night because your body is at rest and the vitamins will have the time to do what they do.

I think you are right that you have a hydration issue. Keep up the fluids, and I know I lose more fluids at night while I sleep, so I am more in need of them in the morning. It is a hot summer, so this is not so unusual. Keep up your vitamins and calcium as well. I also munch on bananas for potassium. Take care. Patricia P.

Norma, you are not alone. I have had the same issue more than just in the mornings. My levels on all things are really good so my family doctor says it may just be an adjustment thing with the body and to move slow in the morning. I have started drinking more water just in case and crave more protein. Pray it gets better quick. lg

If you are on high blood pressure medication, it may need to be tweeked as you lose weight. I had the exact problem. My blood pressure was dropping as I lost weight, but I was on the same dosage as before surgery. I am on a lower dosage now and I am no longer dizzy and fatigued. Good luck!
