Patricia,
check out the message board section of this website and you can also be
specific and go by state. I think my partner has gained a few pounds too
and she is 3 years post-op this month, as a matter of fact, this coming
weekend. Work gets in her way of working out. Sometimes when she comes
home from work, she is so mentally drained all she wants to do is go to
sleep. I try to encourage her to work out and release those endorphines
and she'll feel better. There has to be support groups in Atlanta -- check
some of the bariatric surgical clinics within the hospitals -- I'm sure
you'll fine one.

Dr. Titus Duncan & Paul Hobson out of Atlanta Medical Center have a
great support group. I used to go....but the drive for me became too
much....so now I depend on this web site for most of my questions and
support. Check out their website @

Patricia, the first Saturday in every month, Dr. Burrowes support group
meets at 3:00 at Atlanta Medical Center in the Cafeteria basement. The
meetings are great and offer great support and other activities like
cruises and Christmas parties. Guest speakers and fitness trainers also
take part on scheduled occasions. I live in Lithonia, so if you want a
little extra support contact me. I am three years out from surgery, and at
one point, I had gained back 29 pounds in a relatively short time. I am
now below my goal weight of 150, and I have been holding now for 4-5
months. You can do it, you just need to go back to basics.
