Question:
Any one used Dr. Ritter or Dr. Bryce for Lap-band?
I am new to this site. I haven't seen very many people who has had the Lap-Band surgery. I am going through LoneStar Lap-band to have mine. I am just waiting on my UnitedHealthCare Insu. to approve. Any one out there that can elaborate on anything about Lap-Band? From Pre-Op to Post-Op, or just anything in general? Thanks very much for your time.....Kelly — Kelly Pipkins (posted on June 13, 2006)

Hi Kelly- I am 7 weeks post-op Lap-Band today and feel fine. I
underestimated the first couple of days post-op but by day 4 have felt
fine. I have lost 31.4 so far. I have not had a fill yet as my surgeon
likes you to be 10 weeks out. I am still hungry, but it is controllable and
I do not have overwhelming cravings (yet). I started walking 2 days post-op
and now do cardio, swimming, and walking- everyday at least 30 minutes. I
don't want saggy skin :). I did not do anything special pre-op except gain
about 8 more pounds because I was acting like every meal would be my last!
E-mail me is you have any specific ?'s

I had lab band monday 6/12/2006. I was relased from hospital on tuesday
6/13/2006. Today is wed. 6/14/2006 i am feeling better. But still have
some pain/discomfort. Today there is less pain. Drinking water is mostly
ok sometimes it is not. It took me over a year to get to the stage to have
the Orpreation. I am a bit scared but i have a wonderful supporter in my
wife and that is the most important thing. Having a support system.
