Question:
Protein and water
I have seen many times people saying that when they reach a plateau they return to the "basics" just protein and water. I am 15 months outs and at a stand still. When people say protein as a basic - do you mean just protein drinks and water for a few days or protein rich foods....just looking for guidance or other suggestions. Thanks. — Julie M. I have the same question and I'm looking for some motivation to get more
post surgery weight off. I'm starting to feel as though losing only 100
pounds is somehow a failure on my part.

Hi Ladies! I think what most people mean is to increase the water and
protein comsumption along with a healthy diet. You could up your
comsumption of protein foods, and also add an extra protein drink or two!!
Good luck !! DeeAnn

Remember that your body needs time to adjust. Sometimes people forget.
Watch your portion sizes and carb intake along with lots of water. If you
are lifting weights of any kind this too could be a reason, you will lose
inches not pounds, which is good. I am not even 8 weeks out and have hit a
plateau but I watch what and how much along with exercise and am losing
inches which makes a difference when I put on my clothes. Time for each is
different on a plateau, I find I need to increase my exercise and continue
to eat right and that alone helps me. Every one is different and no one
way of doing things will work for each of us. Try different things and see
what works for you. If there had been a one size fits all we would not be
helping each other out with this great "tool" that we have. Good
luck...........

I can send you a plan that I use when I get out of whack. It described
what *I* do, so is not come special piece of literature or anything.
