Go see a doctor NOW and start a 6 month diet, exercise program...I know for
my insurance it was required, no ifs ands or buts..Also I needed to see a
dietician and PROVE that I was exercising..I went to the Y and had them

Hi Amy -Many insurance companies are now doing this- unfortunately-
denying claims unless they have some kind of medical supervised diet-
within the last year or 24mos. My doctor just submitted my claim and the
first thing they came back with-where is the medical supervised letter? So
if you do need something like that currently-were you at your PCP last
month? otherwise you have to begin now & I would recommend getting it
done before 2006- because the first of the year- all the insurance
companies change their policies.
And many are moving towards "out of network" and policy riders
to include WLS.
Good luck!
