Question:
vomiting
I am 4 days post op and am starting to vomit everything. How do I stop? Is there anything I can take to stop it? — cuppaloopy (posted on January 1, 2010)

You don't say what "everything" is but I am guessing you are
talking about liquids. I don't know how much you are drinking but you
should only be doing about an ounce every half hour to hour. You may be
taking in too much, or it may just be from the surgery. Call your surgeon
and speak to him about it, and see if he can give you a prescription for
something to stop the nausea. I'm kind of surprised he didn't send you
home from the hospital with a prescription. You don't want to be vomiting
at this point because of the recent surgery on your pouch and dont want to
risk hurting anything. Call your surgeon!!

Yes, call your surgeon and at LEAST speak to your surgeon's nurse. I did
not vomit that early out, I am eight weeks out now. I did vomit when I
would drink or eat too fast, not chew it up enough, or too much...you get
that "stuck" feeling. What are you taking in? Do you vomit from
fluids or actual food?

Call your Doctor now, you do not want to hurt your pouch.
