Question:
Price of plastic surgery, Ohio vs. PA??

Does anyone know if plastic surgery is cheaper in Ohio than in PA? (Abdominoplasty, arm lift, thigh lift) Also, how long after surgery should one wait before considering this??    — LauraMarie (posted on June 2, 2009)

Laura..I live in Michigan and just had two surgeries this year. I had my original RNY in November 06. I had my abdominoplasty just two weeks ago.I had a breast lift three months ago. I would sort of shop around. You may find a lower priced surgeon, but you want a certified surgeon more than anything. I had a least 4 consults. I pretty much chose the surgeon that had experience. It just so happened he specialized in post bariatric plastic surgery. I am sooo happy with him and have referred three friends to him. I work for a hospital and they wanted to charge me $4000 more than the surgeon I actually chose.Its all about doing your homework before you decide. Try and look at photos of your surgeons work. His/ Her bedside manner should be taken into consideration too. Good luck.
