I am thankful to say I have not experienced those symptoms. Seizures are a
very serious matter that need to be completely worked up from a neurology
standpoint. I hope you are doing just that.

I had a seizure disorder prior to surgery that is why I had the lap band so
all my nutrients and medications are absorbed. Have you seen a
neurologist? If not it is time to see one. Seizures are nothing to mess
around with the more you have the more your brain gets into a pattern of
having them. I strongly suggest you take this up with a doctor.

I have MS and was told by mt doctor that if you have lesions it is MS. The
only way of ruling it out is with a spinal tap. If I were you, I would get
a second opinion. I have the same symptoms as you... do some research and
find another doctor that specializes in MS.

Are you having siezures after you had surgery? Because I had lap rny on
January 4,2008 and started having seizures in April. I had an MRI, and an
EEG and all my tests came back normal. I have lost my weight very fast. I
started at 278 and I am now at 145. My surgeon and the neurologist I went
to see both say it has nothing to do with my weight loss, but I am
skeptical. I am now on seizure medication since Sep 13 when I was taken by
ambulance to the hospital for a seizure that I would not wake up from. It
takes me a while to come around. They put me on Keppra and it makes me
very tired. I hope all is well with you and please let me know if you find
out any more.

I would start by making sure you are getting all the nutrition you possibly
can by taking a good "liquid" vitamin / mineral supplement like
VEMMA. You need protein, B-12, lots of liquid, calcium citrate, iron, and
lots of vitamin D3. Vemma has 1000 IU of vitamin D3. Then check with your
Dr. for blood work. Go to www.TrySomeVemma.com Good luck

Who told you that you had brain lesions and what type of testing did they
do? I think that you need to talk to that doctor and ask for a referral to
a neurologist if you have not yet seen one.
I would also suggest checking out this website: www.meltingmama.net This
woman has had WLS and developed seizures post-op and has been talking to /
collecting info from others who developed seizures post-WLS. Please
contact her as she may have information that would be helpful to you.
Good Luck.
