Call your surgeon. It could be an internal Hernia. Diana

any problem like this should be discussed with your surgeon, i had two similar occassions ,i was unable to eat or drink because the pain would make me double over, it ended up being, once my gallbladder and another time an internal hernia , just have broth for now until you talk to the doctor good luck

John, did you receive your WLSurgery? Your OH Profiles not filled in to make an absoption. Are you still waiting at least 30 minutes after you eat before drinking? And attending at least one support group regularly? CONTACT YOUR SURGEON IMMEADIATELY. It could be a Hernia. I had one which almost KILLED me as the dictors told me the day after having it fixed.

WELL THA PAIN HAS MOSTLY GONE AWAY NOW (THE NEXT DAY) AND ITS ALL GOOD. THIS HAPPEN ONE OTHER TIME WHEN I HAD SUGAR ON ACCIENDENT. I DIDNT NOT CALL MY DOCTOR YET. IM NOT REALLY A RUN TO THE DOCTOR FOR EVERYTHING KINDA PERSON. ........................ OH AND YES I HAVE HAD RNY IN DEC. O6 AND YES I GO TO SUPPORT MEETINGS AT LEAST EVERY OTHER MONTH. ..................SOME SAY MAYBE A HERNEIA OR GULLBLADDER. WHAT DOES THE PAIN FEEL LIKE FROM EITHER ONE ????? CAUSE LAST NIGHT I NOTICED THAT IT REALLY ONLY HURT WHEN I EITHER PUSHED ON MY STOMACH OR I INHALED OR PUSHED OUT MY TUMMY. IF I LAYED FLAT ON MY BED AND FLATTEN MY STOMACH IT DIDNT HURT AT ALL.

Hi John, thanks for writing. I had gallbladder issues after rny, and you would know a severe type of pain if it were gall bladder. When I had the "attacks", I ended up on the floor in dry-heave convulsions for about 15 to 20 minutes. Once it passed, then I was fine, but that half our of lead up and I assume a stone blocking the bile duct causes the dry heaves. It is pretty painful, and it is more in the back as a rule than the abdomin. A hernia on the other hand can be more of what you describe. I know you said that you are not a run to the Dr type of guy (as if any guy is, haha), but you need to call them. The thing about a hernia is that while it is uncomfortable but manageable is the time to get it fixed. If you wait until you have a pinched intestine, it can not only mean emergency surgery, but it is life threatening. Please see your surgeon right away and get this looked at. Avoid an emergency and possibly serious problem ahead. Let them decide if you need care now or it can be watched. I would hate to see all of this good progress of yours come to a stop with a huge complication when it could be a minor complication. Take care John, and please call them today. Take care. gallbladder pain feels like your guts are being squeezed and squeezed. Do get it checked out, I almost died because I had a gallstone stuck in the bile duct by my pancreas and it wasn't detected until I'd turned septic. (prior to RNY) Take care!
