Question:
5 mon. post-op and have not lost any weight this last month, what can be going on?
I have lost 50 lbs. since my surgery in January 2007. This last month I actually gained a pound and am feeling very disappointed. What can be going on with me? I am not eating more than before. Please help! — margaret34 (posted on July 9, 2007)

Iam also 5 months post op and have only lost 55 pds since my surgery on Feb
5, 2007. I have not done anything different and am very concerned. I was
wondering if it might be because I haven,t the time for the walking. ?Also,

From what has been said beforehand, you might be a stall because your body
has to catch up with the quick loss. Be patient, drink your liquids, and
remember protein first, and your weight will start dropping again. Don't
forget to measure because even though the scale is not showing a loss, you
are more than likely losing inches so have someone measure your body for
inches lost. Also are your clothes getting bigger? That is another
indicator that you are losing.

Don't worry about stalls. Trust your body. If you lose too fast, it slows
down for a little while. It is not a race, Be healthy and happy. The weight
you have lost so far is gone, take a moment to see how far you've come.

Margaret, we can't read your mind as well as your OH Profile to see what
your doing, your eating and which surgery you received. To make a
judgemental account of what your doing. Please fill in your story so we can
suggestfully help you.

im also 5 months out and i lost only 40lbs. its called your body is
starting to platoe. and it begins to loose inches of fat insted of water.
we have to pray for patience. in one year we all will look back and be very
happy about the weight loss. i can say 1 good thing. even though im loosing
slow , my skin isnt sagging. which is great for me. but rember when plateo
the scale jumps around 2-5bls back n forth then suddenly you drop a large
amount. be patient
