Any of these are what I use:
1.) Champion ProScore 100 choco + 8 oz water + ice, blended (hand blender
or Magic Bullet).
2.) Champion Pure Whey Stack choco + 6-8 oz water, shaken.
3.) IDS vanilla-cinnamon + "glop" of DaVinci sugar free caramel
sauce + 8 oz water + ice, blended.
4.) the PWS chco + the van-cin (50/50) in about 10 oz hot water, stirred or
hand blender.
Lately I've been adding a shake of cinnamon to my hot ones since cinnamon
fights belly fat.
I always put 1 scoop of UpCal D powder in (500mg calcium citrate, 250 IU of
vit D3).

I had to drink 6 per day of Sugar Free Carnation Instant Breakfast. It was
doable - didn't taste the protein. I have also tried Unjury products - I
couldn't taste the protein, but you can definitely smell it. I closed my
nose when I drank it, but you can also put it in a sports bottle and you
wouldn't smell it. Hope this helps. Good Luck!

I was told by my best friend that at bariatriceating.com they have some
really good stuff. some of there stuff even taste like the fraps from
starbucks. they sell individuals packs so you try them before buying the
big bottles you should check them out. Not to expensive either.

I am also in the 2 week pre-op diet phase....I am drinking Slimfast Low
Carb Diet drinks. They only have 190 calories and 20 grams of protein and
they taste pretty good. Good luck on your surgery!

Hi there,
I am also on my 2 week pre-op diet, and I have found several yummy protein
shakes from bariatriceating.com. My 2 favorites so far are the Whey Gourmet
Chocolate-Peanut Butter and the Matrix Cookies-and-Cream. Both flavors are
awesome mixed with a little bit of light chocolate soy milk and some ice in
a Magic Bullet blender. Enjoy!

I cannot stomach soy protein powder... I can still taste/smell it no matter
what its been mixed with.
I suggest trying Carnation INstant Breakfast, No Sugar Added, and you can
even bulk it up by adding non-fat dry milk powder. You'll get protein and
calcium which is a definite benefit.
Someone else suggested Matrix Cookies and Cream.... I bought a multi-sample
pack and this was the only one I found palatable. I am not a cookies and
cream fan, at all, but this was the first protein supplement that actually
tasted ok.... not just ok, but good.
Best wishes.

Go to www.vitalady.com, they have all kinds of wonderful protein powders
and you can even buy individual samples of them to try out. By far most
people I know love the Champion Chocolate Stack - it's the best chocolate
I've tasted and I've been drinking protein drinks for almost 6 years. I
mix it with my coffee most mornings and it's close to a Peet's or Starbucks
coffee drink. I had an open RNY on 6/21/01 and for the most part have
stayed true to protein drinks that whole time. Vitalady and her husband
both had gastric bypass surgery 12 or 13 years ago and are amazing success
stories, also stellar individuals and so very helpful to many in the
gastric bypass community. Good luck to you! Blessings
