Question:
Has anyone done colon hydrotherapy or colon irrigation after RNY gastric bypass?

Hi Lisa, I guess I am not understanding my this is needed. Being a health care professional I wouldn't suggest doing this unless needed, or Rxed. by you doctor

Yes, I did. My insurance stopped covering it, so I do it less often. My surgeon thought it was amusing, but then they usually think ND's are pretend docs. LOL There was no reason not to do this just because of your WLS, except that they may try to guide your diet in ways that would not be helpful to your weight loss and/or malabsorption.

If you REALLY want to clean yourself out Fleet Phospho soda will empty you TOTALLY. Check with surgeon before doing this espically if your a new post op, dehydration can result. Frankly I think its a lot of hooey. Those radio shows claiming people have 30 pounds of waste clooging them, its just impossible.
