Is avacado ok on soft diet?

Yes, avocado itself is okay as long as you can tolerate it. It is all fat
- good fat, but fat nonetheless. If you had the rny procedure, sometimes
you can't tolerate fatty foods anymore as the bile duct dumps into the old
part that doesn't meet up with your intestine until alot further down. I
would mash it up before you tried eating it, though.

Oh my goodness.....Avocado has been my mainstay! I started eating at the
soft food stage, was able to tolerate (thank goodness) and eat some every
day if not every other day. I was a bit deficient in fat - the smart
balance I added to my soups and stuff seemed not to be enough for my
bod....my skin started to get a bit flaky....they said eat
avocado.....within 3-4 days, my skin was back to norm and I felt better.
YES, try it, but make sure you only try a little bit first, mash it up well
and wait a bit, for me.... I know pretty much right away if it is not going
to tolerate well. If it does, party on!
