I had surgery 3 hours away, so, I stayed the night in the hospital. I had
surgery on Friday and becuse I was on Pain meds, I did not go back until
Wednesday. I had no complications, just a long drive. It all depsends on
you pain tolerance. Good Luck!

Delores,
I think it varies and depend on how well you get up and move around after
the surgery. You went back to work quick. I'm going to be out at least 4
weeks.

Delores, I has Lap-Band on Friday Dec 15th. I spent the night in the
hospital (better meds there than at home!). I probably could have returned
to work by late the following week, but due to the holiday I have two weeks
off. I am enjoying a slower recovery and not doing too much each day. I
also have a 100+ mile round trip commute to work, so I think that would
have been a bit much everyday. I am two weeks out today and I feel
WONDERFUL, still not a 100% but don't have any pain. Lost 20 pounds too so
that is so worth it!
Best of luck.

Delores,
First of all, good luck to you on your upcoming surgery. In answer to your
question, my physician requires that you stay off from work for a minimum
of 2 weeks if there are no complications from the LapBand. I had my surgery
on 12/5 and went back to work on 12/20. I was very sore for about the first
week but I think 2 weeks was an adequate amount of time.
Hope this helps!

I stayed overnight (barix clinics want you to) and went home the next day,
which was a friday. I went back to work on Wed of that next week. I could
have gone back on tuesday but we had snow and I wanted to play it safe. It
also depends on what kind of work you do. I am 10 months out and have lost
62 pounds or %57 of my excess body weight. Good luck and best wishes.
