Michelle, Everything will be fine. Look at this as a great journey and you
are going to spend the rest of your life so happy! This is truly what you
have strived for all these months and you have worked so hard for and you
are at the end of the rainbow and this is your pot of gold!
Just smile and keep your head up, you are almost to the losing side!

~Michelle...You are going to do AWESOME. It does cause anxiety for anyone
who is having surgery WLS or otherwise; it is only natural to feel this
way. Keep the whole picture of after "everything" you'll be able
to do when you have reached your goal. The anxiety and pain from the
surgery will subside soon and all you'll have to look forward to is GOOD
things and a successful journey!! WEe are all here for you / see you on the
losing side soon.I wish you a successful and uneventful surgery and speedy
recovery. Keep us all posted to let us know how you are doing!
BIG HUGS~

Michelle- it is normal to be scared- realize that if your doctor didn't
feel everything was 'go' and safe for you he/she wouldn't undertake the
surgery. You will do fine- I had my surgery 2 weeks ago today- it went
almost picture perfect. The rainbow is out there for you to see!

Michelle I am in the same boat as you my date is also May 4th. I started
getting nervous this morning. I just keep thinking about how good I will
feel in a few weeks once some of the weight starts coming off. Good luck
and I will keep you in my prayers. Nikki

Michelle -- It's normal to be nervous. Just be excited. My partner has
had it and a close friend of mine just had it about 4 days ago. All will
be well. You've taken all the necessary tests and those have come out
fine. Think about it, you've had several tests before getting to this
point, going into the surgery, knowing that you are healthy is a plus. You
will be fine -- now just breath.

It is going to be ok. Trust yourself. Listen to your surgeon. It's going
to be fine! Best wishes, Chris

You are going to do just fine. I understand how you are feeling because I
had the same. What I did is put everything in God's hands for he knows
best. Just know and believe that this is the best thing that you can do for
yourself and you are starting a brand new life. Best of luck. I will be
praying for you.

Hi Michelle, I was in your shoes exactly 7 months ago. On Oct.7th I had
gastric r/y. I am not kidding the first month was the pits! But after that
it has all gone so fast. I am 20 pounds away from my goal and have lost 107
pounds as of today. You have to be ready mentally and keep your head. As
long as you do as you are told you will be just fine. But you will doubt
what you have done. It will pass! If you want to talk you can e me anytime.
I am on here every day! Keep your head and keep centered. As long as you
are truly prepared and ready all will be fine! Good luck, sip, sip, sip,
walk, walk,walk............ You will hear these words till your sick of
hearin them!!!!! But you will do good!!!!!I will say a prayer for
you!!!!!!!!!!!!! See you on the other side!!!!!

michelle - I had my surgery (lap-band) last thursday, I can tell you that
my excitement took over being scared. They had me walk into the OR, first
time for everything, as they were preping me they asked if I was scared. I
told them no that I am excited and they told me that alot of the other
patience had said the same thing. I was born in a hospital and to me it
just seemed right to be reborn wieght wise in one. So far I feel great and
am having great recovery.Good luck and my prayers are with you. Anna

Surgery is a scary thing and you would be less than human if you said you
weren't scared. You need to look at what the end results are going to be.
There is going to be a new you and a hole new life. Good luck God will be
with you.
