Question:
WHAT DOES IT MEAN WHEN A INS CO DOESN'T SAY NO OR YES?

I am assuming you have researched everything about WLS. The majority of
all insurance companies require a Psy eval, and a visit with the dietican.
As for the 6 month approval diet, that also is almost mandatory, and some
insurance companies are even trying to make it a year before they will
approve. The 6 month diet must be through your PCP and you can not use
Weight Watchers, or any other group as a diet. You need to find out the
exact rules from your insurance company.
Good Luck

Hi Cynthia-
I am also "jumping through the hoops". I am just finishing my 6
month dr. supervised dieting that the insurance company requires. To be
honest, I know of companies that require a year or more, so, if you think
about the big picture, six months is not so bad. A helpful hint, however,
is to keep a diet journal along with exercise logged into it. Some want to
see them and they also want to see MD notes with weights and measures. Good
luck to you!

I am going through the same thing. I have 3 months left and then I will be
done. Just keep thinking in 6 months I will still be overweight and then
after that it is all on the losing side. Good luck. Tanya
