Lynn: Have you seen your WLS surgeon about this? Were you transected? I'm wondering abou the possibility of a staple line disruption? I'd say to see your Dr first, and make sure it isn't a mechanical problem, then if everything checks out ok, you need to rethink your eating habits, and if you're not a regular exerciser, you should consider starting! Good luck, remember to use that tool !!! DeeAnn R

sorry to hear you having problems, have to admit it scares me. I am 1 month away from being 3 years myself. I know what works for me is to go back to basics, protien, my shakes, 5 or 6 small meals a day and the pouch rules for dummies. remember this is just a tool, we have to use it right or it will fail us. good luck

Please go to this group. http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Graduate-OSSG I do believe your doctor did not transect routinely in your era, so you may need further testing to see what's up.

Oh dear. Bless your heart. Am I correct in assuming you had the RNY? My cousin had that surgery and is gaining hers back. The statistics aren't that great. The last report I read showed that HALF of those who get that surgery gain it back. You can do it though, just set your mind to it. I wish you the best!!

Just because you had the operation doesn't mean you can eat anything you wish. Eat 2 to 3 oz per meal and watch the carbs. Carbs are weight gainers. Get out and walk as much as possible. Please take care Jack S

I hate to do a commercial, but Barbera thompson, who has authored several books about undergoing weight loss surgery, and has had it successfully and kept the wight loss up for a long time, now offers a menor program for people who have not lost weight or are regaining weight they lost. She discusses diet, exercise, and psychological problems, and keeps in touch personally with everyone. http://www.wlscenter.com/

You can get your surgeries mechanics checked out and prepare for the possibility of needing a revision. Or buckle down and attempt to go back to the basics and rely on good old fashioned diet & exercise. I also had surgery 2/02. I never reached my goal weight stopped about 60 lbs above it. I lost 120lb my 8 mnths post op and I have gained back 20 but also fear that I will now gain back even more. revision is not an option not covered under my new insurance. They wont even pay for a surgical follow up. I know my eating habits aren't the best. I also have a bad knee making it hard to exercise long enough to see results.
