30 grams of protein within 30 minutes of getting up in the AM. Get your
protein in and limit your carbs or have none at all. I find that since
gastric bypass that I can really manipulate my weight loss and when stuck,
I go back to the protein drinks, eat zero carbs and poof, I am losing
again. I am within 10 pounds of my goal (which is my before child birth
weight) and it has only been 14 months since surgery.

Sorry, I am 8 years out and I totally disagree about the protein unless you
want to regain it all back in 3 years. Real protein Absolutely!! Powder
processed protein NEVER! You have to eat real food every 3 hours. Small,
1/2 sandwich or a piece fruit or a tablespoon peanut butter some cottage
cheese. Whatever your body will tolerate but make sure you eat. Everyone is
on the protein bandwagon and then wonder why they are getting revisions and
are back where they started 3 years later. Really look it up on here. So
many have failed. Yet they are promoting protein shakes! That's where
everyone gets in trouble. Body builders do protein to bulk. Is that what
you want?? You have to Eat Sweety! Don't worry 8 - 10 Lbs is water weight.
You fluctuate all day according to your water intake. Now that's the
beverage you should be consuming. WATER!!

I am also trying to lose my last 10 lbs. I am having boiling egg, meat for
lunch and egg and cheese for dinner. Lots of water too. Low carb is the
way to lose, but you need to flush out the fat with water. drink
drink...... good luck`1

Thank you kimberly for your information. i am 3 years post op, and have
regained some of mu weight back, due to a knee problem. I have been
drinking protein shakes for meals and getting no where. It makes sense what
you say. I will go back to my eggs, chicken, etc.
