Question:
Is sugar free honey ok?Does anyone use it?
I got some at wal mart because i like it in my hot tea.It actually says imitation honey on the bottle.0 sugars,17g carbs per serving but it also list sorbitol, maltitol and higher polyols, what exactly are they and are they a bad decision? — carolyn1970 (posted on December 31, 2009)

Well this is a first. I have never heard of sugar free honey but to answer
your question.....I would think it "too" artificial. I get my
honey straight from a bee keeper and I limit myself to 1 tsp a day for my
decaf tea. Just a thought.
Good luck

I'm not sure about truvia and honey, but I do know that too many sugar
alcohols can give you a laxative effect. Sad to say, I know this first
hand. But it only takes once or twice to keep them in check! Happy New
Year! hugs,kim

Sorbitol, can cause you to have loose stools. Anything with that much
artificial sweeteners need to have a presertivative to keep it from going
rotten. Eating things like that would not seem right to me. My doctor says
eat natural foods only no additives. Example if it dosen't grow on a
tree/bush or have a root or eats vegitation.. DON'T EAT IT!!! Honey is a
byproduct from plants created through the bees digestive process, so now
that you are grossed out...LOL I would still choose the real Mc'Coy over
the artificial. Why not try to avoid all sweets if possible you will get
used to it.
