Any loss wether it be ounces, pounds or inches is ALWAYS a good thing. Do
not expect your weight to shed off in a day ....remember it took us years
to get to the state we are in .....it will take a bit of time to get it
off. You are averaging 10 pounds a month which is fantastic. You can
increase you inch loss with walking and weight lifting (light) or like I do
with the use of resistance training through Curves. I had my RNY in June
and have lost almost 68 inches off of my whole body...good luck and be
patient.

I was a slow loser too but then I found just the right mix of calories in
and exercise and it melted off. I went from a 24 to a size 4 in about 10
months. I was very slow in the beginning. untill around 3 months when I
increased my portion size to 2 ounces (with my nuts advisement) Then it
just melted off. Good luck to you! Sounds like you are doing great already!
Inches matter, weight ...not so much at this point in your journey. Best
of luck to you! Hugs, Kim

So you think 10 lbs a month is slow. How often have you lost this much
before.
You are doing fine. Everyone loses at a differant rate. Keep to the diet
lots of water and protien and no carbs and you will be amazed where you are
in a year.

Depending on how much you need to lose, will also determine the rate at
which the weight falls off. I was losing an average of 6.25 lbs per week.
I started at 230 lbs and I weigh 138 lb and maintaining. I always tell
people if you don't see you scale moving then you are losing inches. So if
you can tell you are losing inches, then that is good. Once you get close
to your goal weight, you will start to slow down in losing. But so far you
are doing fine.
