With Lap-Band how long until it is okay to fly in an airplane

My sister had the lapband in august and flew two days afterwards with no
difficulty. Ask your doctor.

When you have a fill, it is the same thing. I think the only reason they
say that is to make sure you are ok. For example if you had a fill and it
was too much saline, you wouldn't want to be away. You would want to be
able to access your dr if needed to remove some saline. I think it is just
a precaution. My dr told me this cause I am going on vacation in april.

My doc says when ever ,just dont eat before flight ,or drink and eat in
flight.If you fly late in day,have a light breakfast,they dont want any
food still in stoma.Sandy Hanson I flew just fine.
