Question:
Does anyone 6 weeks out eat air-pop popcorn?

My doctor instructed me that popcorn was forbidden due to the possibility
of blockage no matter what kind it was. I'm 3 weeks out, but it is
definitely on my NEVER eat list.

I'm 3 months post op and I cant' stay away from popcorn. Yes I had
microwave popcorn at 6wks out and it didn't bother me one bit. I too was
also told that it was a NO NO

I was told it was a no no for the first 6 months. After that still a no no
but if you NEEDED it, try to have just a handful. There are many microwave
ones that have the snack size bags. Not all the seeds pop so most are just
a bit larger than a handful. I do have those about 3 times a month and
I've had no problems but I still chew chew chew. Good luck, God bless and
welcome to the losing side!

I'm almost 1 year out and have been eating popcorn for a few months now,
with no problem. But I would think six weeks is a little soon to be eating
popcorn if you had RNY surgery. I'd be afraid to do so, but check with your
surgeon. Good Luck!

I have had popcorn for the last few months. I had Rny 7-11-07 and no
problems.. I also eat my 22 almonds a day, but I chew, chew and still chew
them.
