Question:
I am 4 1/2 months out of band surgery-having problems with gall
bladder! Anyone care to share their gall bladder stories?? — rhammgag (posted on October 2, 2007)

My gall bladder was acting up well before my band. I had an ultrascan and
there was one big (3cm) stone and several other small ones. I had my gall
bladder and stones removed (laproscopically) and then three weeks later had
my band surgery.
My surgeon says he will not do them at the same time due to possible
infections or other complications.

Not uncommon after having weight loss for your gallbladder to start going
crazy. I worried about my husband--and asked his surgeon to take his out
at the same time, but they didn't and he hasn't had any problems so far (2
years out). But mine went haywire before my surgery and I had it removed.
It is no fun, and the pain from the stones and infection was unbearable!!
I fell sorry for you!

I had RNY Jan. 10,2007 and then 4 months later was back in surgery having
my gallbladder taken out. They say that 50% of people having GBP surgery
will have to have their gallbladder out. Great for us right! I have not had
any other problems concerning the gallbladder surgery. Some people have
trouble afterward with regards to what they can eat and the symptoms that
they have afterwards. Good luck

I had Lap Band 11 weeks ago, and I am having my Gallbladder out in 2 days.
It started giving me problems about 3 weeks after surgery. Good Luck to
you!

Hi
I havent had any surgery yet, but I have had by gb removed and dealt with
the horrible pain from it. I have a dumping syndrome now whenever I eat
eggs and a few other foods. but nothing compared to the pain of the
stones. Good luck to you!
