Question:
I am 3 months out and feel dizzy at times. Is it normal?
I am 3 months out and have only lost 18 pounds. I had my 3rd fill and feel that I have found my sweet spot. But the problem is that I hardly eat anything and feel dizzy. What can I do? — shaziakhan01 (posted on September 4, 2007)

Shazia only 18 pounds in 3 months?!! Thats not alot but it is a start. I
would ask my surgeon why so little weight in 3 months. You might try
increasing your protein and water intake. Eat 6 small meals a day even if
its only 2 bites a meal get food in you. And for Gods sake take vitamins. I
wish you only the best!! Mickey......

Shazia, increase your water on the daily basis. That will stop the
dizziness. I'm 6 months out and from time to time when that happens to me
my surgeon has told me to increase water and that usually resolves the
issue.

Are you dizzy all the time or just when you stand up? I have had the
problem two different times. The first time I was dizzy sitting or standing
and ended up being dehydrated. The second time I was getting dizzy only
when I stood and it got so bad I would actually black out and once I even
passed out and ended up in the ER with a concussion. That time, after
testing, they said I had a salt deficancy. My body couldn't regulate my
salt to keep up with the weight loss. I was put on salt pills and was told
to increase my salt. I am doing much better but I have learned if it's
really hot and I am sweating more I have to increase my salt pill. Good
Luck!

FOR GOODNESS SAKE - TELL YOUR DOCTOR YOUR SYMPTOMS. TAKE YOUR VITAMINS AND
DRINK LOTS OF WATER OR EVEN DILUTED CHRSTAL LIGHT. SOMETIMES EXERCISING
HELPS TO GET THINGS MOVING. I KNOW ITS FRUSTRATING! IF YOU HATE TO
EXERCISE LIKE I DO, TRY GETTING SOME DISCO CDS AND DANCE. THE TIME FLIES
AND ITS FUN AND EXERCISE. I HOWEVER, NEED TO DO IT ALONE WHEN NO ONE CAN
SEE ME! BEST OF LUCK

Your probably feeling dizzy because of your fluid intake. Keep track of
your total fluid intake and make sure you are getting at least 64oz. Also
make sure your urine is not dark. If it is that is a sign of dehydration,
which I found out the hard way. If the water intake doesnt help I would
check with your doctor.
