My daughter had one and the only problem was that she has small children
and she came very close to hurting one severely as he walked behind her.
She sold it in a garage sale soon after because it took too much room to
use.

Hi Connie, Congradulations on your loss! I had my surgery July 11 and lost
105 pounds so far. I know you are feeling so good. I have a gazelle I
bought about a year ago and I love it. It makes exercising so easy. I
started using it before my surgery when I weighed almost 400 pounds and
some days I went 3 miles on it. I also got a free video with mine and I
love to do the video also. I know walking is good for you to. I also walk
alot and I usually walk 3-4 miles a day. So good luck and keep up the good
work. Jeannie

I own a gazelle and so does my friend. I am currently unable to use mine
because my knees are very bad and need to be replaced. If you have any
knee/ankle/hip joint problems, the gazelle can exacerbate them. If you
don't, it's a great way to get exercise in the privacy of your own home.
Also, my friend has the more expensive 'elite' version and she can adjust
the tension, which is helpful. I found mine on e-bay and it was shipped
new from a store at a much lower cost than going through the Tony Little
Gazelle web site!

Definately check on e-bay! My Mom (age 66) uses one everyday while she
watches TV -- it works great for her. (Quite too!) The only exercise that
would offer less stress to the knees, hips, feet, etc.... would be the
pool. Good luck!

I just got the Gazelle pro-elite version yesterday for my birthday and am
looking forward to using it....As soon as my husband gets around to putting
it together. I tried it in the store and I really liked it. Dick's
sporting goods. $299.99

connie,
I had lap band surgery July 18 and have lost 47lbs. 3lbs from my half way
goal. I have had a gazelle for about 1 year and never really used it untill
about a month ago. I love it. I have one bad knee that acts up if i walk to
much outside. It's much easier on my knee. the time goes so fast while
your on it. I admit it does take up room while you use it and you have to
be carefull if you have small children. when I am not using it I just fold
it part way up and it sits straight up. I think if I took it down everyday
i would not use it. I love the fact that you can go at your own speed at
first and work up from there. As I sit here writting this my butt, legs, and
upper arms and upper back and chest hurt. I did a pretty intense work out
yesterday. I know which muscles I worked on. I set up my machine in the
family room and watch tv while I'm exercising. I know there are many types
of gazelle machines out there. I have even seen some for under 100.00
dollars . I have found out with any equipment you get if it's cheap and not
sturdy to hold you you won't feel safe and you won't use it. I paid about
400.00 or a little more. I always worked out on a tread mill but now I
would never give up my gazelle. I can really see a big difference in the
flabby skin I had in my thighs and under my arms with the lose hanging
skin. summers comming and I want to wear shorts again and buy a few
sleevless tops. good luck cynthia

I just got my gazelle the week before Christmas. I love it. Very easy to
use. Stores easily out of the way. My doggie did have to get use to
staying out of the way and I can see where a small child would also have to
learn not to be close by while you were on it. It is easy on the knees
and time flies when you are on it.

I bought one this July and returned it to the store within 2 days. It is
cheaply made and I did not feel that it was sturdy enough to hold me up.
At the time I was 260lbs and 5"4. I fell off of it and fained a black
and blue mark on my upper arm "ouch"........LOL

Keep in mind when you hear negative comments that there are two different
kinds of Gazelles and one is definately more sturdy and made alot better.

The above is very true! Mine is a less expensive version, but I still like
it so well that I dream of what the pricier ones are like. Buttah, I would
imagine. :D

I bought one through the TV add, Tony Little, I think it was. I never
found anyone to put it together. I don't have a husband or boyfriend. It
sits still in the box in my spare room. I am going to try selling it in my
garage sale I need to have before I move in a month.
