Having the lapband put on wouldn't affect your pregnancy at all. All you
would have to do is have it 'unfilled' then after the pregnany have a fill
put back in.

My cousin had RNY about 7 years ago (I know its not exactly the same but it
is still WLS) and she didn't have any issues with her pregnancies. She did
have to espically watcher her protein/vitamin intake. Her health improved
so much for her after having WLS that she would have never been able to get
pregnant at the weight she was pre-op. Good Luck!

You can get more answers from those on the lapband board.

I had the band put on prior to pregnancy (this was nonadjustable--before
the adjustable band was an option). i lost lots of weight and loved it!
However, I had extreme vomiting during pregnancy--and ended up twisting my
stomach beneath the band...had to have it removed (since they couldn't
adjust it)...i've since gained back to pre-op weight. I think the
adjustable band wouldn't have let that happen. Otherwise, I had a great
healthy pregnancy. :)
