Question:
I am seeing the dietician tomorrow...

Can anybody tell me what I should expect? Do I need to take anything? Any information would be helpful... Thanks!    — Missy L. (posted on May 16, 2003)

Hi Missy, it's helpful to them if you take a diet history. You know, all of the diets and programs you've tried and how much you lost on any of them that you can remember.

I just took myself there and nothing else. I guess what you can expect is to discuss all the eating aspects of this surgery, especially what you'll be eating right after you get out of surgery. My dietician gave me a booklet type of my suggested diet for 2 weeks post-op, 1 month, 2 month, 3 month, and then after that. We discussed my prior eating habits and how those should be changed, etc. It was very informative and helpful to me, I had a great dietician, but everyone is different! Goodluck to you :-)
