Question:
Can Crystal Light be counted towards water intake?

So if crystal light is ok for us to drink and can be counted as our water intake so can the crystal light slurpees from 7-11?    — LUVY L. (posted on April 10, 2003)

According to my nutritionist, things like sugar-free popsicles/water ices and jello can be counted as part of the water intake - so I wouldn't see any reason why the Crystal Light Slurpees from 7-11 wouldn't be counted as well...JR

Hello! My doctor suggested to me to drink either water or Crystal Light. He told me to drink things that had zero or very minimal calories. Crystal Light, I believe, only has 5 calories per serving. I stored up on all different flavors, but I can't tolerate them. To me, Crystal Light is too sweet. I can only drink water or unsweet tea. Most of the time, almost always, I drink water. Sorry, we don't have a 7-11 in my town, so I can't comment on the slurpees, although, they do sound good! Always remember to ask you surgeon about anything and everything, if you feel you need to. My surgeon and his staff is good about answering any questions I have, no matter how silly they may sound. Good luck on your journey! - Daphine (down 41 pounds, down 5 dress sizes).

I love the crystal light slurpees from 7-11. Keep in mind, though that something in this form is roughly half the volume of it's container. So a 48 oz. slurpee would roughly be 24 oz. of actual liquid.

Your 7-11 has crystal light slurpees? I'm moving there! I've been craving something icy, just like a slurpee or italian ice or something ever since I had surgery. I have not seen them at my 7-11 or I would be there daily. But, yes crystal light can be counted as your fluid intake.

If there is not a 7-11 nearby, what about making your own Slurpie/Slushie by either freezing the Crystal Light the blending it or blending it with ice in a smoothie maker?? Adding a little extra ice should help cut down on the 'sweetness' a little too.

Yes, crystal light slurpees count as water. I love them but only get about 1 per week after my big saturday work out. However, I drink reg. crystal light every day and get most of my "water" in that way and it hasn't hurt me at all. 7-11s in So. Calif. have slurpees I don't know where else you can get them.

The 7-11 stores in the Dener area didn't have the Crystal Light slurpees last year, but they do now. I've had both raspberry and lemon-lime flavors. I love them, but they are full of air, so they probably don't count their full advertised volume for water, but they are great on a warm day! I do some volunteer work on Saturdays which requires me to drive for a couple of hours and the slurpee is my treat while I'm doing that.
