This question was made for me! Yes, yes, yes. I have had the same
problems. During the first 6+ months, we can get away with some of that
behavior, due to the malabsorption, we lost weight anyhow. In spite of
ourselves. Today, I am one year out and -169 pounds. I am at goal. Photo is
on my profile. The only good thing I have really done to change my evil
ways....was to never return to some of my trigger foods (to this very
day)...I got to 321 pounds on pizzas, pastas, breads, etc. Sugar was not my
only demon. So, I by choice have never returned to those products. However,
it seemed I was hungry all of the time for months & I am just now
really getting a handle on it. I DO NOT WANT TO REGAIN MY WEIGHT. Yet, I
totally understand that my pouch is only a tool, it escalated my weight
loss, got me to goal in just one year, NOW IT IS UP TO ME. I am seeing an
M.D. (Psychiatrist) once a week, for weight counseling. We are working from
the shoulders up. It is hard work, but will be my saving grace. After just
3-4 visits, I already notice a difference. We are doing hypnotherapy as
well. During this therapy session, Dr. reinforces not testing the
limitations of my pouch, increasing water, recognizing nourishment, not
stuffing feelings, not eating over stress, anger, boredom, happiness; not
celebrating with food (we can still celebrate, my meal will be legal for
me), but no longer can I "reward myself" with food; instead I
will get my nails done or have my hair done or buy a new outfit, etc. I
have to deal with my head hunger and truly work thru my problems to solve
the dilemma of the sabotoge that I always have done on myself once I
reached goal. Good luck to all of us. Be healthy & happy. Barb B.

Luvy, My weight loss had slowed down to just 2-3 lbs a month and I had
gotten careless about what I was eating. Part of the carelessness was due
to the fact that I didn't know how many cals and nutrients were in the
foods that I was cooking at home (didn't have a package lable to read), and
partly because I didn't know how many cals I was burning during the day. I
still had about 15 lbs that I wanted to loose and was getting VERY
impatient. I started using FitDay.com Monday before last, 8 days ago, and
have lost 5 lbs since. I don't think it would have happened without
FitDay. Like WLS, it's a tool, but a different kind, and I have really put
it to work for me. Go play with it and see what you think. Good Luck!
