Question:
SPASMS IN STOMACH
I get these weird muscle spasms that make me feel like I have a knot. When I stay very still and let it subside it will go away, if I move the pain is severe and they are getting more common. Has anyone else had this 8 years after gastric bypass. — ANNAJEAN (posted on September 26, 2011)

I don't have an answer for you, but I too have started having the same kind
of problem, almost as if something is being squeezed or twisted. For me it
has been happening about a month, so I am going for a CT Scan just to make
sure everything is ok, I am 10 years post op. Best of luck to you, I'll
keep watch to see if someone has an answer

Please see your physican...don't wait. It's much better to be safe than
sorry. Any unexplained pain could be serious. Take it from me. I had my
gastric bypass 2 years ago and have been totally fine since. Two weeks
ago, I ended up having emergency gallbladder surgery. Symptoms started out
of nowhere...just got a pain that went from my navel to under my ribcage.
After about an hour, it kept getting worse, I started to get worried...so I
went to the ER that same day and had surgery the next. Turns out it was
gangrenous. My surgeon was very serious when he told me that if I had
waited, I could have died. I'm still in shock that I hadn't had any pain,
nausea or heartburn previously. I just believe that pain is our body's way
of telling us that something's wrong. I wish you all the best.

i am almost 9 yrs post op and from th every beginning if i consumed more
than 13 grms of sugar i would dump.the most severe stomache stomach spasms
would insue,along with rapid heartbeat,sweating,nausea,faint feeling etc.no
reprieve,i just had to wait until it passed.Sometimes vomiting and always
explosive diahrea, and then a fe wdays of and irratated gut. There is NOTHING
that tastes that good so i learned early on not to eat sugar. It is not
difficult ,so many sugar free things and i do not crave sweets anymore
anyway.I think you might need to have this checked it could be an
telescoping colon or a partial obstuction or it may be caused by sugar, can
you document what u consume right befor eit happens?Good luck i know not
knowing is hard.
