Question:
Is UTI normal after surgery?

I had RNY 7/01/08...never got a UTI. What does the DR say? Drink ,drink , drink... I started out drinking alot right from the begining. By drink I dont mean gulp..sip. Best of luck to you.

If you had a foley catheter inserted in surgery, it is not uncommon to get a UTI post op. I had one a few days after I was discharged in 2006.

It is also possible that you are not getting enough fluids in.. sip sip sip best of luck to you!
