Question:
Has anyone had their sugery reverse itself?

I have been in pain since I had sugery completed in 2004. I have lost 125lbs but I am having severe stomach pain and problems. I am a breast cancer survivor. I have fibrolmagia and arthur. However after my second hospital stay in July 2009 I am diagnosed with a reversal RYN. I have two openings in my stomache. I returned to orginal dr and was informed that I have a fistula. I am concerned because I really can't eat and I am very uncomfortable due to stomach pain. I take Vicodin like drinking water. I can't tell when I am hungry and I never feel full just stuffed like a ball of gas. I fell this way even if I don't eat. Can anyone give me info on support groups in West Chester PA or radius of 15 miles.    — babygirls02 (posted on September 29, 2009)

Get an appointment with your WLS surgeon IMMEDIATELY!!!!! Call his office, explain your situation to his nurse and request an appointment ASAP. Not only will he be able to advise you on the best procedure to resolve the problem, and restore you to optimal health, he will be able to educate you about your insurance's coverage of any procedure he recommends. I think that whatever procedure needs to be done should be covered since you have a severe medical reason for needing surgery. You may need to have pre-approval from your insurance company, so check into that as well. I'll be praying for your recovery. God Bless.
