Question:
For Hernias
What Kind of Doctor do you suggest seeing for a possible hernia. Not a person who has had bypass, just a regular person (my husband) thanks for your answers! Lesleigh — lesleigh07 (posted on June 24, 2009)

Most family practice or internal medicine doctors can diagnose hernias and
then they usually refer patients with diagnosed hernias to surgeons for
evaluation as to whether or not the hernias need to be repaired. Most
surgeons these days will not take a patient without a referral from their
primary doctor.
