Not sure what you are looking for. But you are encouraged to walk and drink
as much as possible the next day after your surgery.

Day of surgery, after I woke up, I was taken to my room. After a few hours,
I got out of bed and started walking. Nothing by mouth at this point.
Next day: Down to Radiology check to make sure no leaks. That all checked
out so I was given one ounce of water per hour. Sounds like nothing, huh?
I had all I could do to get it down. That evening, I was given my first
protein shake. I completed it, but it took a very, very long time.
Next day: Still in hospital, rest, walk every hour, drink fluids. Very
tired. Pain is managed by meds very well.
Next day: discharge to home. Rest, walk every hour, get my fluids and
protein.
I'd do in again in a second.

My experience was similar to the previous writer. One week after discharge
I went to our campground where we spend the summer and walked around the
park. I would do this again in a minute.

All you need to do is concentrate on your fluids. Sip fluids all day as
much as you can. Also walking helps your incisions heal too. Good luck

By the sounds of it, Shirley and I could have had the same Dr. My
experience was so similar to hers. I came home full of energy and had such
a positive outlook on the future. I couldn't wait to get my life started
again. I would definately do it all over again. I do recognize that it
isn't always so rosey for some folks, but for me it was a snap and still is
going great 12 weeks out.
