I took socks to keep my feet warm and elastic waist shorts so my butt didnt
hang out in the hospital gown. That was it, and actually I didnt even use
my socks, they gave me some with grips on the bottom so I could walk around
without falling.

I'm 2 weeks out yesterday and I took way too much with me. The only things
I would take now if I had to do it again would be, my own pillows, chap
stick, my mp3 player, house shoes to wear home, a brush and hair tie and
deorderant. I wore home the same outfit I wore there. Thats the only
things I used. Hope this helps!

PAT!
First congratulations!! I know you are getting really excited and nervous
(it's all normal). A list of what I took to the hospital and used is
below:
1. light bathrobe
2. undies
3. socks
4. tennis shoes (for walking. don't walk in slippers or slipper socks, no
support - I ended up with shin splints very bad doing it - use your tennis
shoes!
5. iPod or MP3 player of some sort
6. cell phone
7. word search (keep your mind sharp) w/pencil or pen
8. tooth brush/paste
9. hair brush
10. deodorant
11. baby powder/bath spray or something to "freshen up"
12. feminine supplies (a lot of women start their period while in the
hospital - I've been on depo shot for 15+ years and DON'T have periods -
but I packed them anyway - started the day I left the hospital. glad I
listened.
13. OPTIONAL: magazine - nothing too heavy - something like Us or
Entertainment driven small, articles - blurbs. You won't be able to
concentrate on a full fledged book.
That's about it. That's all I needed and I was comfortable and good the
whole time.
