Question:
alcohol

Asking about whether people replace food with alcohol (rates of
cross-addiction are actually statistically low)? Inquiring whether it can
impede weight loss (yes, although for many of us it is less the empty
calories of our adult beverages than it is the bar snacks that accompany
them)? Wondering if anyone other than me has ever ordered a gin and diet
coke (actually, I have yet to order one and not be met with a completely
blank look from a bartender)?

What is your question exactly?

If food was an addiction for you I can see where you may
"replace" it with something. In my case it was a bored habit and
the fact I was never full. Not a problem now.

It's not good for you. It taste awful. It's expensive. Enough said.
