Question:
I had my surgery 5 months ago and only have 2.5 cc? Is that normal. I am not loosing
I hardly notice a difference at all!! And have not lost any weight since the first 17 that happened in the first two weeks. My dr will only add 1/2 cc every visit and makes me wait a month between each cc. Therefore I only have 2.5 cc in so far. Do people generally have more then that in them before they really start loosing? — marknjen (posted on October 5, 2007)

I'm in the same boat. I've lost about 18lbs since my surgery in mid-June
and I have 2.5cc. I can feel a bit of restriction at times, but things go
down way to easily in my opinion. My Dr. (he didn't do the surgery)
suspects that I may have a small hole in my tube as he drained it last time
to see what was there and said there should have been more. I knew that the
band was not a "fix" and that weightloss would be slow, but I'm a
bit frustrated at just how slow it's going. I know I could be eating better
and exercising more, but I also know I shouldn't be able to eat as much.
I'll be watching the responses you get - and GOOD LUCK!! :)

IT is good to here I am not alone. I apreciate your response. I would be
interested t o hear if you find out if you have a hole or not. I might
mention that to my dr.

Yep, same here. My doc draws out the amount in at every visit. I was done
on 7/11/07. It has been all me. I work like hell to control every thing I
eat. On Friday I was craving a Italian Sub. I thought I'd try it just to
see what would happen. I ate the whole thing, no problem, except for the
huge amount of guilt. That is what drives me. All the work I put into this
thing. I walk a mile every morning at 5 and eat healthy food. I'm not
satisfied with the size of my portions. I should be eating much less. I
keep a tab on myself by using Fitday.com
It isn't easy, but I keep losing. I've lost 40 lbs so far and feel great
but, just think how good I'll feel when I meet my goal of 150. I go in for
my 4th fill in two weeks. I will surely tell the Doc about the Sub and lack
of restriction. God bless and hang in there. We are all here for each
other.
