Question:
I am 2 months Post-op and wwant to know what type of excercise I can start doing
to tighten up. I have LOST 49 pounds so far. I walk every night for 1 hour. My doctor told me yesterday that I can start doing excercise! Any suggestions? — YVETTE121 (posted on June 7, 2007)

Congratulations on you loss! Yayyy! I pulled out my old basic tae bo
tapes and started doing those shortly after my 1 month post op. It's only
27 mins long and gives me a great work out. I have always enjoyed doing
these. Billy blanks has some newer ones out as well. I do have his boot
camp but will wait to advance to that one, and I know he has an even newer
one out. Give it a try! You might like it! Good luck! Welcome to the
losing side!

Congrats on the WL - nice!! :) So happy 4 ya. I couldn't do any core
exercises until 3 months. Now... I am enrolled in Meditation, All Abs,
Cardio Kickboxing and Yogilates. I love them all. Good luck. Do what you
can - don't push yourself too much - work out, but don't over do it. Good
luck.

congradulation on your surgery. now your 2 months out you can walk the park
and every week increese your speed and distance. walking is the best
excersize there is. also swimming. after another month try some arobics. i
was walking the first week out the hospital. i got stronger everyday. i did
the tread mill , liptical machine, glyder, and the stepper. and 5lbs
weights. for toning. no sit ups until you feel confortable to fo them i do
them 5 days a week and im 4 months out of post up

My surgeon said that a stationary excercise bike is safe at 7 days post op,
so you should be good to go. I guess walking is good too, but if you don't
feel comfortable with that, they sell stationary excercise bikes at sears
for like $80. What I do in order to get my excercise in is read time
sensitive mags on them like star, and Us weekly, that way, I MUST excercise
within a time period so the news doesn't get old! LOL. Congrats to you.

Congrats on the weight loss. For the thighs -- leg lifts and leg
extensions --light on the weights and more reps.
One way to get started and get a better idea of what I'm referring to is
get a guest membershp at a health club and let the trainers show you some
exercises.
