Question:
7 weeks out port pain?
I am 7 weeks post-op and can not sleep on my stomach. I have rolled over in the middle of the night and been in pain when I wake up. When I roll back to my side the pain takes a good 30 seconds to subside. I also went for a fill and my doctor could not find my port. (I will be going back for a fill under X-ray). Has anyone else had this problem? What was it? — puzzled (posted on January 23, 2007)

I still can not lay on my stomach. I have a discomfort, not a real pain,
but if I were to roll over in the middle of the night....I bet I would have
pain. I have not had any trouble with finding my port. Mine is in my
chest area about 4 inches from my bra line. Best of luck!

It took me about 6 months mto actually sleep in my bedbecause I could not
lay flat without hurting. SoI just slept in a recliner for a little while
until my husband went and got a hospital bed from our local V F W to
borrow. It was free of charge as long as you return it when your done with
it. It sure helped me out alot.... Also I did not have a port so can not
help you iththat one. Some people just heal a little slower than others. I
would not worry about it too much.
