I do HR at my work. As long as you have no laps of coverage there is no
such thing as pre-existing condition. If you let yourins. go and restart
another after 30-60 days, then they may say no one year waiting period. If
he takes a job with group health coverage, you are safe if they do not have
a 90 day waiting period. Keep the old in effect until the new one starts is
best. Good Luck

As long as your current physician is in the network on the new insurance
you should be okay.

I changed - I went from my insurance to my husbands (we married after my
surgery) and had no problems - and in fact have changed 'twice' inside the
company (open enrollment) If your changing just be sure your surgeon in
the plan; - but also check with your surgeon how many followups were
included in your surgery - a certain amount of post surgical care is
included... so even if your doctor isnt in your new plan your follow up
would be covered ... better tho that he is 'in' but also remember the
further out you are the less you neede your surgeon. Just have his name
for emergency. Lab work can/and alot of times is done by your Pcp you dont
need your surgeon for that.

I do not know about FL. but in Maine, when you start a new job, the 90 days
(or whatever your time element is) that you have to wait to get coverage
cannot be counted as lapse in coverage. Therefore we do not have to worry
about pre-exisiting. Maybe you have the same laws?
