Question:
WHAT IS IT

MY INCISION OPEN AND I WAS TOLD IT WAS INFECTION IT HAD TO HEAL FROM WITH IN . BUT SOMETHING STARTED COMEING OUT IT LOOK LIKE SKIM OR SOMETHING AND IT PUTTING OUT TEA COLOR AND I HATE THE SMELL. IT BEEN APRIL 13 I HAD SURGERY    — MARSHA B. (posted on May 14, 2004)

Well I am assuming you have checked with your surgeon on this, but the very top of my incision had a very tiny infection in it and drained the same way, my Dr. said to put a warm wet cloth on it to help draw the stuff out. If you haven't showed it to your Dr. please do!

I had my surgery in Sept 2003 and the same thing happened to me. The surgeon had me come to the office every week for 3 weeks and he cleaned and corterized it. I was told some of the yellowish stuff was liquid fat just melting away. It took a couple of months to heal,but eventually it did. However if a fever occurs, get thee to a doctor pronto. Eight months out, I feel great! GOOD LUCK....

I had a wound infection after laporoscopy a few years ago. I didn't have a fever, but the incision came open and a LOT of foul smelling pus came out. If it's an infection it won't heal on it's own, you should be on antibiotics. Please see your doctor about this.
