Dr. Douglas Kaderabek performed my gastric bypass on January 4, 2000 at Carmel St. Vincent's. I am not sure if he does revisional surgeries or just first-time surgeries. You need to set an appointment and discuss your questions with him on that, etc. I found him to be very educated, skilled and laid back. I felt very confident and trusting going into surgery and furthermore had no complications. His bedside manner is good. I was in the hospital for 3 days. He advises the patient to start walking very soon after surgery and aerobics or swimming 6 weeks post-op.
