HOW LONG AFTER HAVING A COLD WILL IT USUALLY TAKE FOR SURGERY

I am not sure what the cut off date is when they will postpone surgery, but i would like to know too as I am having the same problem. I am scheduled for 1-19-00 and I have been sick almost a week. I go for preop testing 1-12-00 and will see what they say then. In the meantime, I have been drinking lots of fluids, eating vitamins, echinacea, zinc, vitamin C, and had my PCP give me both an antiviral and antibiotics. I am better, but still not 100%. I guess it is in God's hands. He has brought us too far for anything to go wrong without a reason. Don't worry, we have time!!!! Good Luck
