Question:
flavoured coffee's
I bought flavoured decalf coffee today. In a week I will be starting my liquid diet. In my information from the hospital it doesn't say anything about flavoured coffee. Do you think it will be alright to drink that. — cuppaloopy (posted on December 11, 2009)

as long as it is decaf and sugar free it should be fine, but in moderation,
ask surgeon.

I agree with the first poster. As long as it is decaf. you will want to
add sugar, gives you energy. If I remember correctly you are not to
eat/drink sugar free things yet due to needing the energy due to the lack
of food.
Here is a good rule of thumb, ALWAYS ASK YOUR SURGEON. (sorry for the
caps, I wanted it to stick out.
Good luck with your surgery. -Jaime

I have had coffee flavored and non flavored through my entire process... I
make sure that it is fat free and sugar free. I know that my surgeon
doesn't care if it is decaff as long as you drink other decaf beverages
during the day... I mix my vanilia protein powder with coffee every
morning for a fat free sugar free latte. That is how I start my day every
day.
