Question:
After Lap Band Removal, Awaiting RNY
I had severe complications with the Lap Band and had to have it removed (truly believe in the product - my sister has been very successful with it) in Dec 2007. I am now in the process of getting my surgeon's, Dr Chin, approval to have the RNY.... my question is, for those who have had 1 type of bariatric surgery, then gone to another... and not on the same day.... Did you have to go thru the 6 months of nutrition training & phsyc evals? — Kathleen O. (posted on October 10, 2009)

Hi there, there is a lot of people on duodental switch board, that traded
the band and rny!!!!check the revision board all so. With ds, you get to
eat normal, but about half, the amount, there is no food to get stuck, you get
to drink with your meals, and no dumping from both ends!If you eat to many
carbs, you do get the gas,and the poop! The ds has the best weigh loss long
term!Check us out go under forums,to surgical, you,ll find ds board and
revision board and other surgeries there. Good luck with the research!
