Question:
18 days post op did anyones teeth hurt?
I am 18 days out from surgery, but I have noticed that my teeth have been sensitive. I have never had this problem before. Also, my teeth seem to always be dirty, is that from the vitamins? — stephturpin (posted on September 16, 2009)

I wonder if the teeth sensitivity issue could be from the anesthesia tube
that goes down your throat during surgery?

YES. I even had to have root canal two weeks after surgery...Not fun.

I'm not a doctor or a dentist (and I don't play one in the movies), but it
would seem to me that the anesthesia could get into all the sinuses and
glands around the teeth. If it is just annoying and doesn't seem to be
getting worse, I wouldn't worry about it unless it keeps hanging on. If
teeth are sensitive to hot or cold, or have a sharp pain when you bite, or
if it just really hurts,go see your dentist.

Yes, yes, yes. Mine was from lack of calcium. Once I started taking my
calcium each day, it went away!

Try toothpaste that says Sensitive on it. It desensitises your teeth. I
have been using it for years.
