Question:
First, let me begin by apologizing if this question offends anyone...but I am curious
my husband will be having bariatric surgery (hopefully)in August..I had mine a year ago....anyway, we were both wondering...we KNOW he will lose weight everywhere....well...does that include his "manhood"?..I know not in length...but what about width??..I know that is such a strange question...but we were having a discussion about it...please forgive me...we are NOT perverts...just a curious couple going thru weight-loss surgery together and wanted to cover all bases!!!..thanx everyone..(& sorry) — NoLeChiC (posted on July 10, 2009)

Well, I'm a chick...so I can't say for sure. lol However, I'm guessing
that if that certain part decreases in size...then it won't be by very
much, at all. As for length...I'm sure you probably already know that when
a guy loses weight more of his...ummm....."thingy" is visible and
not concealed in the extra weight he was holding in his abdomen.
Anyway...my overall prediction is....that you guys are gonna have a whole
lot more fun! LOL Good luck...and hey, you two go on with your bad
selves! lol

There should not be any change as it is made up of muscle, spongy muscle,
veins, arteries, and skin. When you gain or lose weight it's fat cells
that are effected, and there aren't fat cells in that area.
The change you may notice is an increase in length once the weight is lost,
it will seem longer without a "cushion" around the base.

i don't know about width but dr. oz says that for every 30lbs lost you gain
an inch.

hee hee hee too funny! Thanks for the smiles everyone! I have to agree with
the gang, I don't think it will change, unless it got bigger with weight
gain...But I am female and don't know the equipment like a guy would. My
hubby hasn't changed any, but he hasn't gained much weight...thanks again!

You're question brought a smile to my face. The college that I went to
was all girls for the first 2 years before it went co-ed. So, there's is
nothing that people can say or do that can shock me. The only thing that I
can say is that you will have more fun after his surgery.

there should not be change in size-length or girth. Ask his surgeon. They
have heard it all and then some.

Well, as a female, I know my area got fatter as I gained weight and as I
lost weight, it was still fat and more noticeably fat because all the
excess tummy wasnt covering it. So you'll probably finally see just how
big he really is. You should be OK.

On Oprah, one of the "You On A Diet" doctors (Roizen/Oz)said that
a 35 pound weight loss on a man would increase the length of his manhood by
an inch. Apparently gaining weight makes it shorter.

My husband was 305 pounds (5 foot 9) before lap band surgery May 07 now at
175 he seems bigger but I think that is because most of the 305 pounds was
in his belly area. I also had lap band surgery Oct 07 and went from 234 (5
foot 2) to 157. One thing I can definitely tell you is that we sure do
have a lot more "fun" these days. Take care and God bless.

I have lost 55# so far from lapband surgery 16MAR09. My husband just
retruned from deployment where he lost a little wt but worked out alot and
firmed everything. He seems longer and slightly thicker to me. I think
because my belly is so much flatter he can penetrate further. He has been
doing alot of core strengthening and abdominal work which may be making him
slightly thicker at the base. Certainly is wonderful to feel like my
younger self prior to babies and wt gain. Good luck and enjoy!

No offense first of all. Generally when men lose weight they notice
growth, not loss. It's not actual growth, but with the padding lessens and
gives the appearance of growth. Also, think of this: the two of you will
be able to get so much "closer" because the fat will be out of
the way. I don't know about your support group, but at our group there are
men who would be willing to answer your question.

this is the best question lisa. i love people who are honest. my husband
use to be bigger, ALL over. he decided to lose a little weight, and as he
lost weight, it seemed like "other" areas remained the same. so
i think you have nothing to worry about. chances are, this will really
greaten your sex life. have a good one.
