I wish I knew the answer. I have gained 50 pounds back and want to get
back on track and down to 180 again or lower.

The 5DPT is explained in detail at the site. It's not a diet to lose
weight, but rathter get those who have fallen off track and stopped
following the basics...and have begun eating too many simple carbs...Many
people do lose a little weight because once you cut carbs (which are mostly
water as they hold water), you lose water weight and gain most of it back
as soon as you begin eating carbs again...So the lose it temporary, but it
might be insentive for some to try hard to keep the loss going! But the
first 5-10 lbs are water... This diet takes you from liquid protein to soft
to dense protein over 5 days while "decarbing" your system so you
don;t have cravings for more carbs...and you begin to feel your pouch again
and a little tightness you had similarly to newly post op...It's very
helpful...After I did the test last year with a 10 lb gain, I becagan
logging my food in a journal and weighing everything to portion sizes which
is ultimately how I lost the 10 lbs...But the 5DPT makes it MUCH easy to
get started on track again! http://www.5daypouchtest.com/
