Question:
I had my 2nd gastric bypass Feb 11 2008, i had the band put on, Agust I found

out I was pregnant I am now in my 34th week and I am experiencing pain where the band is when the baby moves to my left side, the pain feels like ripping..Has this happened to anyone else?    — tylerswife (posted on March 2, 2009)

Better to be safe than sorry call your doctors office who did the Surgery a year ago. ,,, cause a lot of other doctors don't know how to handle problems with Bararatic surgery patients. good luc

Ooh that sounds painful. Hopefully the little one is just making you sore and not doing any damage. Get in touch with your surgeon right away so they can check for tears. Camgratualtions on the baby. Good thing you are nearly due.

I will ditto what everyone above has said - get to the doctor. This sounds like something you don't want to mess with. It may be nothing but I don't think that's something for us to decide. Have a happy baby!

Oh lord! Please keep us posted on this one! I am 9 weeks pregnant (banded 10/07) and now you have scared the dickens out of me! Pregnant women are not good candidates for surgery and I am hoping I don't have any trouble. Please let me know because I'm really nervous now!
