You're doing fine for lapband. Weight loss is a bit slower with this procedure. same deal as before, more calories burned than what you eat will lose the weight. Of course with the band you'll get fuller faster when you reach the right fill.

31 pounds in 2 1/2 months? You're way above the average loss of 2 pounds a week. If I lost like you, my doctor would laugh at me if I asked for a fill. You're doing just fine. I wouldn't worry about calories so much, as your protein grams and getting all of your water in every day. Don't forget to exercise every day. That's my two cents. Good luck to you! :)

Great job with your weight loss. I had my lap band done 6-6-08 and have only lost 27 lbs. I have had a bit of a problem with my thyroid and I am not at my optimal fill so enjoy the weight loss. Susan

I agree with the above posts. I had mine placed on 11-25-08 and since that time have "only" lost 28 pounds. The last time in my life I lost that much that fast was when I was on a liquid diet! Be patient and continue to follow the Bandster rules. You are doing just fine!!! Barbara

31 lbs is great! I had the "band" placed 12/9/08. This is a slow process. Give yourself time. My weight loss has slowed down. 7.5 lbs last month. Not quite 2 lbs a week. But we don't get fat overnight but with the "band tool" we have the means to work ourselves to a healthier weight. Slow and steady! We'll get there when we get there.

I had the lap band surgery on 2/17/09 and my doctor told me the following; Calories per day 800-1000, Proteins per day 60-80 and liquids per day 64oz or more. At first, I had a hard time taking in all of my proteins but I have been drinking two protein smoothies per day so that I get my proteins in. I don't want to lose any hair. I hope this helps you.
